Dear sir/madam,

My name is Teacher Julian Kemunto . I am an early career professional in the environment and marine sector with vested interests in teaching and instructing. I have a strong motivation to impart knowledge on various subjects particularly English, Biology and Chemistry and to learn and grow professionally too. Indeed, my passion for the English language stems from the fact that I am a native speaker from Kenya (A British Commonwealth country) and that all my life, the instructional language at home, school and work has been primarily English. My final high school exam in English was Cambridge based and I scored an A.

Currently, I am a private-at-home tutor for young learners in Milano, Italy. I have successfully aided learners in mastering the English language and embodying essential language skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening. I am passionate about contributing to the proliferation of the English language as evidenced by my personal blog on topical issues and my interest in poetry/spoken word writing and performing.

I have gained apt professional language skills from taking the grueling course 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language', TEFL (120 hour Master Class) and I believe that I am now competent enough to take on more challenging teaching and instructing activities across all age groups, gender and race. As a language teacher, and specifically an English teacher, my role in helping students to acquire knowledge in a class setting or otherwise will always be to facilitate and motivate my students, provide them with meaningful bases of language learning, and grade instructions to make sure that I address the weaknesses, strengths and needs of each student.

Additionally, in my previous roles, with experience spanning over 5 years, I have perfected the main work tools and techniques pertinent in managing, supervising, training and educating adult learners (stakeholders in the Marine environment and sector). My work involved designing and preparing educational materials in the subject area allocated to me and disseminating technical information to the scientific community while also sharing the same in the simplest form to the non-scientific stakeholders in the community.

I have repeatedly demonstrated pro-activity, mental elasticity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as team spirit and the ability to establish priorities by organizing my own work in a rigorous and goal-oriented manner. This is all possible due to the extensive academic work I have been privileged to undertake at the University of Milan, Bicocca in a Masters degree course, participation in the Erasmus EXTRA UE exchanges and internships and constant professional development by undertaking the TEFL course.
