Hello and welcome! My name is Maja and I’m a native speaker of both German and English. I currently live in the charming town of Gallicano nel Lazio, a peaceful place that I now happily call home.
Before moving to Italy, I worked in Germany as a social educator at an international school. In this role, I had the privilege of supporting students from many different cultures and languages. This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy and creating a safe space where everyone feels understood and valued. It also strengthened my belief that language learning is not just about grammar or vocabulary...it’s about connection, confidence and communication.
As a teacher, I bring a calm and supportive energy to my lessons. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating and I always aim to create an atmosphere where my students feel relaxed, encouraged, and free to make mistakes as part of the learning process. I adapt my teaching to each person’s needs, interests, and learning style, because every student learns in their own unique way.
At the moment, I’m still learning Italian myself. I speak only a little, but I’m improving every day with lots of help from my wonderful Italian partner! This personal experience reminds me how it feels to be on the learner’s side: sometimes challenging, but also deeply rewarding. It helps me stay empathetic and patient with my students, celebrating every small step of progress together.
I truly enjoy helping others find their voice in a new language. Whether you’re learning English or German for travel, work or personal growth, I’ll be happy to guide you with kindness, understanding and positivity. Together, we’ll make your language-learning journey both effective and enjoyable.
I’m a native speaker of both German and English, and I love sharing these languages with others! In my lessons, I focus on natural conversation, real-life vocabulary, and helping my students feel confident when they speak. I keep my rate at 10€ per hour because I want my lessons to be affordable while still reflecting the time, care and positive energy I put into each class
