Hi! My name is Tariro (it is a Shona name meaning "hope"). I am 30 years old, originally from the beautiful country of Zimbabwe, and currently living in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. I’m studying for my Master’s in Pharmaceuticals, combining my passion for science with my drive to make a real impact. I am TESOL certified. My teaching style as an ESL teacher is student-centered, encouraging, and focused on creating a relaxed and supportive environment. I aim to build my students’ confidence by using interactive activities like pair work, discussions, and role plays that reflect real-life situations. I create a safe space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I am patient and approachable, and I always try to use positive reinforcement to celebrate effort and progress. I also like to keep things light and have fun with a bit of humor to ease anxiety, and I make sure to include a variety of engaging materials like videos, songs, games, and real-world texts that match my students’ interests and goals. I always adapt my lessons to meet the needs of my learners, taking into account their levels, backgrounds, and learning styles. I scaffold tasks to help them succeed step by step, and I gently encourage everyone to take part and speak up, even if they are unsure. I give clear instructions and specific feedback and take time to reflect on our progress together so students can see how much they have grown. I stay flexible during lessons, ready to adjust when needed based on how students respond. Above all, I aim to make learning English a positive and empowering experience that students enjoy and feel proud to be part of.
My rate of €12 per hour reflects the value, preparation, and personalized support I provide to each student. I design lessons tailored to individual goals, whether that is improving conversational fluency, pronunciation, grammar, or writing. Each session includes not only teaching time but also the effort I put into preparing engaging materials and giving feedback after class.
At this rate, students receive high-quality, interactive lessons in a comfortable and encouraging environment, making learning both effective and enjoyable. It is also an affordable price point that ensures accessibility while still recognizing the time, skill, and dedication I invest in helping students achieve real progress in their English learning journey.
